SAO PAULO: Pele‘s health is “improving progressively,” his doctors said Tuesday, a week after the 82-year-old Brazilian football legend was hospitalized in Sao Paulo amid ongoing treatment for colon cancer.
Pele, considered by many the greatest footballer of all time, “continues improving progressively, especially the respiratory infection” diagnosed after he checked in, his medical team said in a statement. “He remains in a standard room, with stable vital signs, conscious and with no new complications.”
