Mumbai:

A man allegedly killed his live-in partner and escaped after concealing her body in the storage area of the bed near Mumbai, police said today. Megha’s body was recovered by the police and her partner Hardik Shah was arrested before he could board a train to flee Palghar district of Maharashtra.

Megha, a nurse, used to bear the household expenses and they often fought over Hardik’s unemployment.

The quarrel led to the murder on the day of the incident, following which Hardik hid Megha’s body in the bed storage, police said.

He also sold some household items before fleeing.
