Several aspects of their fight are in court, but the EPS faction continues to have a stronger hold.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, speaking to reporters outside the assembly, EPS claimed the Speaker did not comply with the majority decision in the\u00a0AIADMK\u00a0in electing RB Udayakumar, replacing OPS, as the party&#8217;s deputy leader in the Vidhan Sabha.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;O Panneerselvam (OPS) and his supporters have been removed from the party. It seems the Speaker is acting on the suggestion of the ruling DMK,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the chaos on Tuesday, OPS, who heads a rival\u00a0AIADMK\u00a0faction, remained calmly seated next to EPS.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"eb6h1pq8\" id=\"story_image_main\" class=\"lozad\" src=\"https:\/\/c.ndtvimg.com\/2022-10\/eb6h1pq8_eps-leads-the-dominant-faction-of-the-aiadmk_625x300_19_October_22.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p class=\"ins_instory_dv_caption\">E Palaniswamy or &#8216;EPS&#8217; and his supporting MLAs after being evicted from the Vidhan Sabha on October 18.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Speaker disallowed any discussion on the seating during Question Hour, which is meant specifically for people&#8217;s issues. He told EPS that he&#8217;d get an opportunity to raise the issue later. But EPS remained firm.<\/p>\n<p>A visibly annoyed Speaker then said, &#8220;I understand you all have come with the intention to disrupt the proceedings.
