Reports say there were hundreds of people on the bridge when it snapped. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"cheat__ttl\">Here are 5 facts about the bridge over river Machhu<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cheat-wrp\">\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>A private trust named Oreva renovated the bridge last week after getting the government&#8217;s tender, according to reports. The bridge had been shut for seven months for renovation, officials said. The bridge was reopened on October 26, officials said.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Morbi municipal agency chief Sandipsinh Zala told NDTV that the company did not take a fitness certificate from the authorities before opening the bridge.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>&#8220;It was a government tender. Oreva group was supposed to give its renovation details and get a quality check before opening the bridge. But it did not do so. The government was not aware about this,&#8221; Mr Zala said.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Yesterday, in a video, many people were seen on the bridge, jumping and running on it. The cable bridge was seen swaying due to their movements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>&#8220;The bridge was renovated last week. We are also shocked.
