By India Today Web Desk<\/b><\/a>: Luis Enrique has heaped praise on Spain’s midfield sensation Gavi and said that the Barcelona youngster can become someone who will mark an era. <\/p>\n

Gavi hogged all the limelight in Spain’s 7-0 victory over Costa Rica in their first match of the 2022 World Cup, where he scored a goal and bagged the Man Of The Match award for his terrific performance on the night.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the 2010 World Cup winners’ game against Germany, Enrique, as quoted by Barca Universal, heaped praise on Gavi and revealed his amazement in seeing the Barcelona youngster play with a lot of panache. The Spain manager was also quick to highlight the midfielder’s intelligence when it comes to positioning himself, individual quality among other things. <\/p>\n

Enrique said that he has no doubt that Gavi could be a player who will mark an era.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have known him for many years. It\u2019s amazing that, at just 18 years of age, he competes with such panache. We must also highlight his intelligence when it comes to positioning himself, his individual quality, his ambition, his physical ability\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6,\u201d Enrique said, as quoted by SPORT.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to go little by little, you don\u2019t have to go crazy, but nobody doubts that he can be a player who will mark an era.\u201d<\/p>\n

Enrique also commented on Ansu Fati who didn’t come on during Spain’s win over Costa Rica. The Spain manager said that the Barca forward is doing well in training with the rest of the group and said that his time will come in the tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing very well, training with the rest of the group. The good thing about being in a good group dynamic is it helps everyone. It\u2019s difficult for a striker to play 90 minutes. His time will come and he\u2019ll have to make the most of it,\u201d said Enrique.<\/p>\n
