By India Today Web Desk<\/b><\/a>: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that his team will have to go back to the basics if they’re to arrest their horrendous run of form in recent times. <\/p>\n

The Reds have lost two of their last three games, with the latest one coming against Brighton and Hove Albion last Saturday by a margin of 3-0<\/a>. The other defeat came against Brentford and there was also a 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup. <\/p>\n

This means that Klopp will now have to take his team to Molineux for a replay. <\/p>\n

Speaking to the reporters ahead of the match, Klopp said that Liverpool will have to be compact and defend well. He said that the team will have to go back to the basics. <\/p>\n

“These are football problems, you solve them with football. To play better than at Brighton should not be that difficult…,” Klopp told reporters on Monday.<\/p>\n

“We have to be compact, we have to defend. In too many moments, the pitch looks too big. It is the way we defend. You have to go back to basics, that is what we have to do.”<\/p>\n

Klopp is expecting a tough challenge from Wolves and said that he is looking to put out the best possible lineup for the match. However, the Liverpool boss admitted that he could make a few changes to the team that faced Brighton at the weekend. <\/p>\n

“(Wolves) are in a good moment; they played well here, won the game at the weekend (1-0 at home to West Ham United). It will be tough,” Klopp said.<\/p>\n

“Not all players who played the last game are available now for different reasons, and we will make changes. We want to win the game.<\/p>\n

“I could say to the players who lost at Brighton, ‘You got us in this situation, lets see how you get us out’. But that wouldn’t be taking responsibility, I can’t do that. I will take decisions, we will make changes. That makes sense.”<\/p>\n

Klopp, who had stated earlier that Liverpool are unlikely to make more signings during the Winter transfer window, said that his squad is not too thin as well. <\/p>\n

“We look outside (to transfers) as well. It’s not that we’re stubborn and think we will keep these boys until 2060,” Klopp said.<\/p>\n

“If the solutions are out there, doable and available, of course we would buy players. But we have an existing squad and it is underperforming but I cannot blame everyone else. I have to take responsibility. That is my first concern.<\/p>\n

“We have players, they are just not available… Our squad is not too small. Yes, we have to strengthen, oh yes, but is the right time to do it? I can’t see it because of the situation we are in.”<\/p>\n
