By India Today Web Desk<\/b><\/a>: India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has said that the Women\u2019s Premier League will help India unearth a lot of young and talented cricketers. The inaugural season of the WPL is scheduled to kick-start in March. <\/p>\n

As quoted by Hindustan Times, Harmanpreet said the emergence of young talent will be boosted due to the WPL, as we have seen before for men\u2019s cricket and the IPL.<\/p>\n

We have seen in men’s cricket, how they improved after the IPL. The emergence of talent that we have seen in men’s cricket can be seen in women’s cricket (After the WIPL). It’s going to be very famous worldwide, not just in India. We will see a lot of young talent because of the tournament,\u201d said Harmanpreet.<\/p>\n

The India skipper said the gap between domestic and international cricket will be reduced by the WPL, as it will give players a chance to get ready for the international stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gap between domestic and international cricket can be cut down. It’s very difficult for a young player to straightaway come into the team (from domestic cricket) and face those hurdles in international cricket. Players will start feeling ready for international cricket,\u201d Harmanpreet added.<\/p>\n

While talking about the Indian setup, Harmanpreet said that their focus remains on playing attacking and progressive cricket, no matter the conditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been trying to play like this (attacking cricket) for some time now. I’m really pleased that, now, finally we are seeing the results. We regularly discuss in team meetings that we have to play aggressive cricket. It doesn’t matter how the pitch is behaving, we have to remain positive in our approach,\u201d said Harmanpreet.<\/p>\n
