{"id":286277,"date":"2023-02-12T11:42:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-12T11:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/haftavasool.com\/haftavasool\/blog\/2023\/02\/12\/kerala-ex-chief-minister-oommen-chandy-airlifted-to-bengaluru-for-treatment-report\/"},"modified":"2023-02-12T11:42:00","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T11:42:00","slug":"kerala-ex-chief-minister-oommen-chandy-airlifted-to-bengaluru-for-treatment-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/haftavasool.com\/haftavasool\/blog\/2023\/02\/12\/kerala-ex-chief-minister-oommen-chandy-airlifted-to-bengaluru-for-treatment-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerala Ex Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Airlifted To Bengaluru For Treatment: Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" id=\"ins_storybody\"><!-- \n\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"sp-cn ins_storybody\" id=\"ins_storybody\">--><\/p>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Kerala Ex Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Airlifted To Bengaluru For Treatment: Report\" alt=\"Kerala Ex Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Airlifted To Bengaluru For Treatment: Report\" id=\"story_image_main\" src=\"https:\/\/i.ndtvimg.com\/i\/2018-01\/oommen-chandy_650x400_51515567983.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p class=\"ins_instory_dv_caption sp_b\">Oommen Chandy has not been keeping well since 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><b class=\"place_cont\">Thiruvananthapuram: <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Senior Congress leader and former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy was on Sunday airlifted to a private hospital in Bengaluru, party sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Chandy had been admitted to a private hospital in nearby Neyyattinkara for treatment after he was infected with pneumonia.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress veteran, who was taken out of the hospital in a wheelchair, thanked the doctors and staff of the hospital and said there was no basis for the concerns regarding the treatment given to him. &#8220;There is no basis for the controversy related to my treatment,&#8221; Mr Chandy said in a feeble voice to the media.<\/p>\n<p>His wife, two daughters and son, Chandy Oommen, accompanied the senior leader to Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, AICC general secretary in-charge of organisation K C Venugopal had said the Congress has decided to shift CMr handy to a hospital in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, concerns were raised from various quarters over his deteriorating health.<\/p>\n<p>His relatives had alleged that the veteran Congress leader was being denied proper medical care by his close family members.<\/p>\n<p>As the social media was abuzz with reports of his health condition, Mr Chandy had posted a video on his son&#8217;s Facebook page, claiming that he was given proper care by his family and the party.<\/p>\n<p>The development came after Oommen Chandy&#8217;s 42 close relatives, including his younger brother, sent a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking his urgent intervention to provide better treatment for his predecessor.<\/p>\n<p>Oommen Chandy has not been keeping well since 2019.
