During the second Test encounter against England, Southee slammed <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.ndtv.com\/cricket\/players\/16-stuart-broad-playerprofile\" title=\"Stuart Broad\">Stuart Broad<\/a> for a massive six and took his tally of sixes in Test cricket to 78 \u2013 the same as Dhoni. The right-hander is currently among the Top-15 in the list and is just six sixes away from legendary West Indies batter Viv Richards&#8217; tally in the format. in an innings featuring two sixes.<\/p>\n<p>About 25 overs were lost to the late rain, mirroring the premature finish to day one when the clouds opened.<\/p>\n<p>However, England still have ample time to push for a seventh straight Test win and consign New Zealand to an eighth successive winless Test.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, England lost five wickets and racked up a further 120 runs in an entertaining opening session after resuming at 315-3.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sports.ndtv.com\/cricket\/players\/115158-harry-brook-playerprofile\" title=\"Harry Brook\">Harry Brook<\/a> fell in the third over for 186, having added just two to his overnight score.<\/p>\n<p>His blazing knock formed part of a 302-run stand with Root &#8211; the second-highest in England&#8217;s Test history against New Zealand &#8211; having rescued the tourists from 21-3 early on day one.<\/p>\n<p>Root effortlessly advanced from his overnight 101 to surpass 150 for the 14th time in his career.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old received lively support from Stokes &#8212;
