Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film Gadar 2<\/span><\/em><\/a> is making waves at the box office by breaking major records. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently shared that the movie’s earnings have surpassed the total collection of\u00a0<\/span>KGF 2<\/span><\/em>. The next target for Gadar 2<\/em><\/span> is to cross the box office collection of Baahubali 2<\/em><\/span>. Impressively, Gadar 2<\/em><\/span> had also already exceeded the earnings of Aamir Khan’s Dangal<\/em><\/span>. In its third week, Gardar 2<\/em><\/span> had achieved remarkable numbers making \u20b97.10 crore on Friday and a substantial \u20b913.75 crore on Saturday, accumulating a total of \u20b9439.95 crore rupees so far.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gadar 2<\/span><\/em> went up against Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s\u00a0<\/span>OMG 2<\/span><\/em><\/a> at the box office. Both the movies made it to the big screens on August 11th. Despite the clear preference for Gadar 2<\/em><\/span> among the audience, OMG 2<\/em><\/span> managed a respectable collection. As per Taran Adarsh’s tweet, the movie displayed \u201cstrong legs\u201d in week 2 and collected \u20b941.37 cr, with a total of \u20b9126.42 cr to date.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gadar 2\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0has earned mixed reviews from critics. NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee in his review<\/a> said, “The strident and exhausting Gadar 2, set in the year of Bangladesh’s war of liberation, sends intrepid truck driver Tara Singh back into Pakistan to rescue his son from the clutches of a villainous Pakistani general who is foresworn to wiping India off the face of the earth...Gadar 2<\/em> is strictly for three categories of people: Sunny Deol fans, those that miss the unbridled excesses of Bollywood of yore, and those that believe that “hate thy neighbour” is an axiom worth cheering for in a movie theatre. The film has enough to please them all – and then some.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
