China, just fractions of a second ahead, secured the silver medal with a time of 6 minutes and 10.04 seconds, while Uzbekistan claimed the top spot on the podium with a time of 6 minutes and 4.96 seconds.<\/p>\nIndian rower Balraj Panwar, who had shown promise throughout the competition, narrowly missed out on a maiden Asian Games podium finish. The 24-year-old from Karnal had been among the top three at the 1500-metre mark but faced challenges in the final 500 metres, ultimately finishing in fourth place with a time of 7 minutes and 8.79 seconds. Hong Kong’s Hin Chun Chiu secured the bronze medal with a time of 7 minutes and 0.55 seconds, finishing just ahead of Balraj.
The gold in the men’s single sculls event was clinched by China’s Liang Zang, who displayed exceptional prowess with a time of 6 minutes and 57.06 seconds. Japan’s Ryuta Arakawa secured the silver medal with a time of 6 minutes and 59.79 seconds.<\/p>\n
