“I would say Sachin Tendulkar across all formats. The player I have seen who adapted, adjusted and was consistent in whatever he did. And brought that pure element into batting. The purity of his game was such that it was very difficult to replicate it,” Shastri said on the podcast.<\/p>\n
“You will get better run-getters and people who may score runs at a faster pace. Guys who will come with more power. But when it comes to technique he made the batting look so easy even when he was scoring quickly it was all proper cricketing shots that came naturally to him.
“Front foot, back foot, bouncy tracks, turning tracks or be it one-day cricket, Tests or T20Is, he was sensational. There were very little changes he had to make because it all came naturally to him. And there was an element of purity about his game and his technique which I have not seen in too many,” Shastri concluded.<\/p>\n
