Pakistan women’s team member Bismah Maroof<\/a> and spinner Ghulam Fatima sustained ‘minor injuries’ after a car accident on Friday evening, according to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PCB released a statement on Saturday where the cricket governing body stated that the two players were involved in a minor car accident. However, it did not reveal any further details of the accident.<\/p>\n “The Pakistan Cricket Board has provided an update regarding two of its women players, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima, who were involved in a minor car accident on Friday evening. Despite sustaining minor injuries, both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team,” the PCB said in a release.<\/p>\n “Both players are part of the probables attending a training camp for the upcoming series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on 18 April.”<\/p>\n The ‘Women in Green’ are hosting the Windies for a three-match ODI series, followed by five T20Is.<\/p>\n Pakistan Women Probable Squad: Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Bismah Maroof, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Ghulam Fatima, Gul Feroza, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi (Wk), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Nida Dar<\/a>, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz (Wk), Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.<\/p>\n In December, Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, broke a drought of more than five years and created their piece of history with an impressive 10-run victory over New Zealand in the second T20I of their series in Dunedin on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The much-improved Pakistan side amassed a competitive total of 137\/6 from their 20 overs and bowled well to restrict the hosts and register a series-clinching victory. It was the first time Pakistan have won a T20I series against the White Ferns in their history, while it was also their first T20I series triumph away from home since they defeated Bangladesh in October 2018.<\/p>\n And it was a much-deserved victory too, with the visitors receiving good contributions with the bat from Muneeba Ali (35), Aliya Riaz (32*) and former captain Bismah Maroof (21) as they amassed a good total after being sent into bat by the Kiwis.<\/p>\n Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal then removed Bernadine Bezuidenhout<\/a> (2) and Amelia Kerr<\/a> (2) to help reduce New Zealand to 9\/2 in reply and there was no way back for the hosts as Pakistan cruised home with little trouble.<\/p>\n Fatima Sana (3\/22) was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, while Hannah Rowe<\/a> top-scored for the home side with a well-compiled 33.<\/p>\n
