The 15-year-old eclipsed the previous record of 75kg by lifting 76kg on Wednesday. In addition to her record-breaking performance, Bhoi lifted 57kg in the snatch, accumulating a total of 133kg. She narrowly missed the youth world standard by just 2kg on the very first day of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The event saw an impressive 1-2 finish for India, as Jyoshna Sabar seized the silver medal with a combined lift of 125kg (56kg in snatch and 69kg in clean and jerk). Turkey&#8217;s Fatma Kolcak followed suit by clinching the bronze with a total lift of 120kg (55kg in snatch and 65kg in clean and jerk).<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201dI am honored and thrilled to have set a new world record. This is a dream come true, and I couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of my coaches, family, and Indian Weightlifting Federation. Payal secured a silver medal in the women&#8217;s 45kg event with a combined effort of 147kg (65kg in snatch and 82kg in clean and jerk). She was outperformed only by Colombian Lawren Estrada, who achieved a total of 151kg (67kg in snatch and 84kg in clean and jerk), claiming her second world title.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to India&#8217;s medal tally, Babulal Hembrom finished strong with a bronze medal in the men\u2019s 49kg category.
