Former England and Real Madrid midfielder, David Beckham congratulated Jude Bellingham on winning the UEFA Champions League title with Los Blancos by sharing a special post on his Instagram account. In the post, Beckham can be seen dropping Bellingham’s iconic celebration, and heaping praise on a brilliant first season with the Spanish giants in the caption. Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the UCL Final at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London on June 2, where Bellingham played a crucial role with an assist for the second and decisive goal of the match.

After a very ineffective first half, Madrid went on to script a massive turnaround in the second half with a goal in the 74th minute from Dani Carvajal, followed by a 83rd minute strike from Vinicius Jr. It was Bellingham’s acute awareness that saw him intercept a sloppy back-pass from Dortmund’s Maatsen, and lay the ball on a plate for Vinicus to seal the win. Having previously clinched the 2023-2024 La Liga title, the 20-year-old Bellingham’s first chapter with the Los Blancos became even more praise-worthy on Sunday.

Bellingham’s brilliant start to his long-awaited Real Madrid chapter saw him score a total of 23 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

His fanatic form saw him bag the La Liga Player of the Year award in his first year in the Spanish league, which has only amped up the anticipation of the youngster becoming a brighter star for the future of Real Madrid. With Toni Kroos also drawing curtains to his club career, Bellingham will have a lot to handle in Real Madrid’s midfield setup from next season itself.
