MUMBAI: Mumbai Indians have acquired the services of Australian left-arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff following a successful trade with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The 32-year-old was a part of MI during their title-winning runs in 2018 and 2019, and will see him return for the franchise for the 2023 season.

Behrendorff has played 12 ODIs and 9 T20Is for Australia, in which he has picked 23 wickets. Overall, in T20 cricket, the tall bowler has taken 117 wickets in 105 games@23.12, and an economy rate of 7.41. In Jasprit Bumrah, Jofra Archer, who missed IPL-2022 due to injury, and now Jason Behrendorff, MI will thus have a quality pace attack for the next IPL.
The five-time IPL champions have failed to qualify for the playoffs in the next two seasons.
