The clashes broke out during a religious procession in Haryana’s Nuh

Gurugram/New Delhi:

Three people, including two Home Guards, were killed and at least 20 others injured in clashes that broke out between two groups in Haryana yesterday.

The clashes started during a religious procession in Haryana’s Nuh – adjoining Gurugram.

Police said the Home Guards were shot dead as a mob tried to stop the religious procession, throwing stones and setting cars on fire.

The third person was killed in the overnight violence, they said.

Prohibitory orders banning large gatherings were put in place in Nuh, Gurugram, Palwal and Faridabad after violence clashes.

Internet services were suspended in the area as several videos started making rounds on social media.
