Dharmanjot Singh Kahlo supplied weapons to kill Sidhu Moose Wala
In a major breakthrough in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder case, a wanted arms dealer was detained by the police in the United States, sources told NDTV.
Dharmanjot Singh Kahlon was detained in the United States and is closely associated with gangster Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, sources added. The two gangsters are also accused in the murder case, while Brar is believed to be hiding in Cananda, Bishnoi is lodged in the Bathinda central jail.
Kahlon supplied weapons that were allegedly used by Goldy Brar in Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder.
The arms dealer, who is a resident of Punjab’s Amritsar, is accused of smuggling AK-47 rifle and other sophisticated weapons.
The government will soon get in touch with the FBI to extradite Kahlon to India, sources in security agencies said.
The accused is wanted in a case filed under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and a lookout notice against was already issued. The Delhi Police’s Special Cell, the Punjab Police and anti-terror agency NIA were on a hunt for Kahlon.
