Chhattisgarh is the one state from which the Congress has the highest hope in this round of elections.
The voting in the battle for five states ended today after Telangana voted on 119 seats. The results of the exit polls will give a preliminary idea to parties of what the election results could be like.
In Rajasthan, the voting took place on 199 out of 200 seats. While the Congress hopes to break the Rajasthan jinx and return to power again, the BJP’s election campaign focused on an “anti-incumbency” wave in the state. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed confidence that he will form the government for the fifth time in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, in Mizoram, the Chief Minister, Zoramthanga has exuded confidence that there won’t be a hung assembly in Mizoram and his Mizo National Front (MNF) will form government again.
Chhattisgarh is the one state from which the Congress has the highest hope in this round of elections. In Telangana, it’s a fight between the ruling BRS, and the BJP and Congress. Prime Minister Modi extensively campaigned in the state to form a BJP government in the southern state.

Sachin Pilot, earlier said, “The tradition of 30 years in Rajasthan…five years of BJP, five years of Congress…that tradition is about to be broken. People have seen BJP rule at the Centre and they want a change.”
Rajasthan Exit Poll
The Times Now-ETG exit poll also makes a similar prediction as the other two exit polls. The Times Now-ETG exit poll predicts 100-128 seats to the BJP and Congress may have to settle with 56-72 seats, giving the BJP a big lead over the incumbent Ashok Gehlot government which is hoping to break the Rajasthan Jinx and form the government again.

Exit Poll Results For Rajasthan Till Now
The BJP has an edge in the race to win control of Rajasthan, according to early exit polls data released Thursday evening. The Congress faces the daunting task of beating the state’s anti-incumbency trend, which has voted out the ruling party in every election for the past three decades.
Chhattisgarh Exit Poll
Two more exit polls – News24-Today’s Chanakya and Republic TV-Matrize predict a similar result, with Congress likely to form a government with a majority.
Mizoram Exit Polls
The result of two exit polls predicts a close fight between Zoramthanga’s incumbent MNF and the ZPM. The India TV-CNX survey predicts 14-18 seats for MNF and 12-16 for ZPM, 8-10 for Congress and 0-2 for the BJP.
The Jan ki Baat survey’s prediction doesn’t differ much and predicts 10-14 seats to the MNF, 15-25 to ZPM, 5-9 to Congress and 0-2 seats to the BJP.
Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has exuded confidence that there won’t be any hung assembly in Mizoram and MNF will form the government.

The ABP News C-Voter Survey predicts a close fight between the BJP and Congress, with the Bhupesh Baghel government returning to power with 41-53 seats but the BJP is not far behind and may give a tough fight to the Congress by securing 36-48 seats.
The ABP News C-Voter survey exit poll result differs from other three exit polls for the state that have given Congress an edge over the BJP.
Rajasthan Exit Polls
The Jan Ki Baat survey predicts a win for the BJP in Rajasthan, with the party emerging victorious on 100-122 seats and Congress managing 62-85 seats.
The TV9 Bharatvarsh Polstrat exit poll makes a similar prediction for the BJP, with a win on 110-110 seats but the Congress may do well 90-100 seats, making it a close fight with BJP having a lead.
Chhattisgarh Exit Polls: INDIA TV-CNX exit poll has also given Congress an edge over the BJP in the state, with an expected win on 46-56 and the BJP getting 30-40.
Madhya Pradesh Exit Polls: Similar to the Republic TV-Matrize and TV9 Bharatvarsh Polstrat, the Jan Ki Baat survey predicts a very close fight in the state, with Congress expected to win 102-125 seats and the BJP 100-123.
Chhattisgarh Exit Polls: India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicts 40-50 seats for the Congress in Chhattisgarh and 36-46 for the BJP.
TV5 News Exit Poll predicts 29-39 seats for the BJP and 54-64 seats for the Congress
Jan Ki Baat exit poll predicts a lead for the Congress with a probable win on 42-53 seats and BJP securing 34-45 seats.
Madhya Pradesh Exit Polls: According to the Republic TV-Matrize exit poll for Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has a lead over the Congress, with a win of 118-130 seats, while the Congress may win 97-107 seats, with other parties getting 2 seats.
The TV9 Bharatvarsh Polstrat, the Congress may secure a win on 111-121 seats, the BJP will give a close fight to the Congress with an expected win on 106-116 seats.
Chhattisgarh has 90 assembly seats and the majority mark is 46. In Rajasthan, the majority mark is 101. There are 200 seats in Rajasthan. In Madhya Pradesh, the majority mark is 116. The majority mark in Mizoram is 21 and in Telangana the mark is 60.
The voter turnout till 5 pm in Telangana, the last state in the five-state battle, was recorded at 63.9 per cent.
Telangana is the last of five states – the others were Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Mizoram – to vote in this round of elections, which has been seen as a semi-final before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes for all five will take place on Sunday.
