Rohan Bopanna and Veronika Kudermetova crashed out in the first round of the mixed doubles in the French Open 2024. On Sunday (June 2), the duo lost to Andrea Vavassori and Liudmila Samsonova 2-6, 2-6 on Court 5. Vavassori and Samsonova took only 48 minutes to get the better of the Indo-Russian pair.

Earlier in the day, Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden made their way through to the second round of the men’s doubles. But Bopanna could not quite finish the day off on a high.

In the women’s singles, Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur booked a berth in the quarterfinals of the women’s singles. The eighth seed defeated Denmark’s Clara Tauson 6-4, 6-4 on Court Suzanne-Lenglen.
