NEW DELHI: In a major blow to the protesting wrestlers, who have been demanding action against outgoing WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual harassment charges, Sakshi Malik on Monday withdrew from the protest, according to TV reports.
The development comes a day after the protesting wrestlers met union home minister Amit Shah.
Sakshi, one of the faces of the protest after withdrawing has also rejoined her posting in northern railways.
Country’s top grapplers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat were leading the protest but Sakshi’s withdrawal now comes as a major setback for the wrestlers.
